We recall that AppLink is a platform that aims to facilitate the development of applications for cars from independent developers. It has its own API (Application Programming Interface - an interface for application programming), which allows developers to connect their applications to the mobile system Ford SYNC.
The advantages of this system are many. It allows drivers to operate their mobile applications directly interface with voice control of the car and the radio from the dashboard.
For now, the platform is only available to companies invited by Ford, and the partners are currently Pandora, Tuneln, Slack Radio and NPR News. It is expected, however after its opening to all application developers who want to create a whole new class of mobile applications for cars.
